Bring Young Engineers
to Your Classroom
We bring the field trip to your school.
Young Engineers Calgary NW delivers exciting, hands-on STEM experiences right in your classroom—where students build, explore, and problem-solve using LEGO®-based engineering models, guided by trained instructors.
No buses, no extra planning—just meaningful learning, teamwork, and fun, all on-site.
How Our Programs Support Alberta Curriculum Learning
Students explore ideas by building, testing, and observing engineering models. They learn through questioning, hands-on investigation, and discovery.
YE model examples: Car, Gear Box, Windmill, Carousel
Students plan, build, and improve functional models while exploring how structures and mechanical systems work to solve real-world challenges.
YE model examples: Crane, Elevator, Ferris Wheel, Drawbridge
Students test their designs, compare outcomes, and make improvements based on observations, teamwork, and discussion.
YE model examples: Optimized Vehicles, Reinforced Structures, Improved Gear Systems
Our programs are designed to support learning approaches emphasized in the Alberta Programs of Study through hands-on engineering experiences.
